1) One should set aside a time to learn mussar each day even if it’s only a short time. The Mishna Berura explains that the higher level one is on, his yetzer horo is that much stronger as well, and the greatest antidote is mussar.

2) The Shulchan Aruch writes there are a number of items that are tov (proper) to recite daily. The first is the parsha of Akeidas Yitzchok. Doing so arouses the merit of the akeidah and encourages one to think about pushing themselves beyond their natural limits similar to Avrohom and Yitzchak.
